Drake Stadium tickets & upcoming events

If you ever find yourself in Des Moines and want to catch some serious track and field action or just soak in the lively atmosphere, Drake Stadium is the place to be. This stadium isn’t just your average sports venue; it’s a hub of athletic history and energy. The track itself is legendary, world-class, really, and was revamped in 2015 with a state-of-the-art surface that makes running feel smoother and safer. I mean, I’ve seen athletes glide around that track like it’s their second home, and honestly, it’s pretty inspiring. The seating options are pretty flexible too, grass seats are perfect if you want to kick back, lay down a blanket, and watch the event under the open sky. But if you’re after prime views, the fixed seats give you a clear shot at all the action. Plus, it’s super easy to get to from downtown Des Moines, with main roads just a short drive away. Whether you're there for the electrifying Drake Relays, a Bulldog game, or even a community fun run, the stadium’s got the vibe and the facilities to make it memorable. And if you’re like me and always wondering about seating views or ticket options, the interactive seating chart on their site makes choosing your spot way easier. Honestly, Drake Stadium just knows how to blend athletic greatness with a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere, perfect for a fun day out or a serious competition.
